On March 2, 2016 UDEMY reported that they were lowering the prices of all their instructors courses to between $20 and $50, while continuing to offer discount coupons of up to 50% off. Even capstone courses priced at $300 or more were unilaterally forced into the new pricing model. The new pricing follows the Company’s previous actions to sitewide sale every course for $10, independent of the original price of a course established by online instructors.
ULearning in contrast is promoting teacher’s courses with their affiliate and other E-Commerce engine partners and commercializing the courses at the value that teachers have established. The Company’s commitment is to provide the highest return for teachers for their content and course, intending to provide the broadest distribution and highest share of net profits available from any online education platform. As a result of ULearning’s expansion, the Company’s number of course and instructors has increased more than 1000% in the past three month.
